Tir Gannar is one of the major cities of the Erberos kingdom, and the name of the associated province, which spans the length of the Melting Peaks. Tir Gannar is the oldest of the five major cities.
Tir Gannar marks the geographical end of the Erberos kingdom: to its West stand the Melting Peaks, and west of that, settlements from other nations or city-states. Thus, the city is heavily fortified and has a very large military presence, and is responsible for defending Erberos' border. Nailstone, the prison where the most dangerous criminals are sent, is accessible through a long bridge controlled by Tir Gannar.
Legends say that the Great Founder, King Zermon Erberos the First, was once the leader of Tir Gannar, back when it was no more than a fortress carved into the base of the neighboring mountain range. From here, he marched West, claiming the Fountains one by one, founding the kingdom that would bear his name.
